Last year's summit, resulted in practitioner collaboration across the Department of Defense and helped to grow an organic network of Other Transaction practitioners. The results were briefed to senior leaders in the U.S. Department of Defense and opened the channel of communication for input on Other Transaction Authority policy and guidance.
This year's Joint Acquisition Solutions Summit promises to take that impact to the next level, bring together practitioners to shape current policies, and briefing ideas for improvement and innovation directly to DoD and Service officials. (NOTE: Pre-work will be required for participation; this event is not for passive observers)
Day 1: Wednesday, Aug. 19, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. (EDT)
Attendees will baseline the results and progress from the previous summit; provide updates on new policies created since the last event; and convene in groups for a brainstorming and solution discovery to develop short and long-term initiatives for continued improvement.
Day 2: Thusday, Aug. 20, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. (EDT)
Groups will present their solutions and all participants will vote on which teams will brief leadership. The groups will then brief their ideas to senior DOD executives.
